Let’s look at the following scenarios: A man returned home from work one day and called his wife out to the living room and the following dialogue ensued:
“Mama Junior,” began the man to his wife who responded with rapt attention, expecting some important and heart warming conversation, news or commendation from her husband.
“From now on, you shall be receiving some special visitors in our house and you must take good care of them whenever they come, okay?”
“No problem,” responded Mama Junior, rubbing hands together as she made to return to the kitchen to continue with what she was doing. Then on a second thought, she stopped and turned again to her husband and said: “But, may I know why these particular visitors you are talking about are described as special? We have been having very good and important visitors in this house; so why are these ones so spe…?”
“That’s my wife! What a very good and intelligent question you have asked. I know that we have always received visitors here, but these ones you will be receiving from now are indeed very special and unique.” Papa Junior said still loosening his shoe laces.
“Really?” Said his wife still confused.
“O yes! So, you must treat them well.”
“Okay. But I still want to know what makes them special and unique more…”
“That’s a good question again,” said Papa Junior looking up at his wife as he gently rose to his feet and walked closer to his wife with some cold grin, he said: “The visitors I am talking about are very dear to me and that makes them special. They are unique because they are all going to be women. In fact,” he continued in a lower tone deliberately to annoy his wife and said with his mouth fixed to her eyes, “they are all my girlfriends. I hope you are getting my gist now.”
He finally revealed and walked arrogantly into the bedroom clutching his shoes with both hands. Thinking her husband had come again with his funny jokes, Mama Junior went after him into the bedroom to know what type of joke that was all about.
She met him sitting on the edge of the bed and looked him straight in the face and said: “Papa Junior, what type of joke is this? Is this a new one you have just learnt today?”
“Look woman!” He said, raising his voice and looking very stern. “I am not cracking joke or anything like that. I am damned serious and want you to understand that now. Just wait till tomorrow.”
Sending that her husband might mean what he was saying, Mama Junior said: ” Why do you want to destroy our marriage? Because it is clear that you have decided to put our marriage asunder.” She said almost in tears.
“You can call it anything you want or like. I have told you what I want to start doing. It is my new style. If you don’t like it, you are free to leave my house and go back to wherever you came from. I don’t care.”
Mama Junior left him and went back to the kitchen to continue with her cooking, believing that he was just bluffing.
It however, dawned on her that her husband meant what he said when the following day, the man came home with a woman and started shouting her name: “Mama Junior! Mama Junior! Come and receive your visitor”.
She rushed to the door, lo and behold her husband clutching the hand of a young woman who looked to be in her late twenties, showing her into the living room.
Mama Junior, feeling very disgusted, stood transfixed looking at her husband speechless. The husband equally irritated with his wife’s posture, yelled at her: “Don’t stand there looking at us as if we were masquerades. Come on and receive your visitor and get us nice thing to eat.
Mama Junior did not utter a word but just walked away from the duo. Back to the kitchen she even surprised herself when she quietly prepared food for her husband and the strange woman.
As they ate, she sat at one corner in the kitchen and ate her own food alone with her son, Junior. As she say there watching her husband messing around with the strange woman, she thought of picking up a bottle and smashing it on the heads of the both of them. But being a God fearing woman, she cautioned herself and instead called God to take control of the strange situation.
At the end of eating, Papa Junior took his strange woman into their bedroom where they spent the night committing immorality.
From that day, it became a daily occurrence and each night, the man came home with a different woman. His wife would cook food and serve them.
This wicked act of her husband continued and one day, Mama Junior took anointing oil and anointed their bed and the bedsheets. As usual that evening, her husband returned home with another woman.
After their usual night food, he took his strange woman into the bedroom as he was wont to do to continue his immorality and desecration of their matrimonial bed.
Suddenly, in the middle of the night, a fight broke out between the man and his strange bed fellow. Before that day, the man used to bring home average size women, but that night he came home with this very tall and huge woman; a giant of a woman. So, when fight broke out between them, this giant woman literally picked Papa Junior, folded him like a piece of paper, sat on him and began to pound him like yam inside the mortar.
When the man could no longer bear the beating, he cried out, shouting “Mama Junior, come o, Mama Junior please come o, this woman wants to kill me”.
Mama Junior ran into the bedroom and saw the woman sitting on her husband, pounding him mercilessly. She began to beg and plead with her. Please madam! Please madam! Don’t kill my husband. Please forgive him…”.
The woman got up from her husband and began to demand for her money. “Where is my money?”. She yell at Papa Junior. But he was too weak to get up from the floor. The woman went for his brief case and emptied it of all the money in it and said; “Foolish man. You have a beautiful wife like this and you go about carrying women up and down. With those words she walked out of the house into the darkness of the wee hours of the night.
From that night nobody told Papa Junior to stop bringing strange women into his matrimonial home. He learnt his lesson the hard way and turned over a new leaf for good.
Mind you, this is a true story; it was not made up. My dear friend I don’t know if this is the story of your own lifestyle too. God hates things like this. If this is the picture of your marriage or relationship with your wife, you have a big opportunity to repent and mend your way today while the mercy of God is still available.
Or, perhaps you are a woman and a wife and mother in the home; maybe a Christian too. But your husband has become a Mr. Nobody all of a sudden because he is still struggling to make ends meet in the home as a man, husband and father. You are now running after other men committing adultery behind your husband and by so doing, bringing shame to your husband and children. Hmmm!
Madam, your untoward behaviour and disrespect for your husband will bring the anger of God upon you sooner or later. I counsel you to learn to be content and satisfied with what God has given you, i.e. your husband.
You should know that for your husband to succeed in life, you have a big role to play. One of your most important roles is to pray for him that God should bless him. When you pray, also learn to be patient with God till His answer to your prayers begin to manifest.
Remember the popular saying: “God’s time is the best” and indeed, God’s time is the best. When He blessed your home, He adds no trouble or sorrow to it. Repent quickly because your behaviour portrays you as a wicked person and “…God is angry with the wicked every day” (Psalms 7:11B).
Or maybe, as a woman in the home; a wife and possibly, a mother but you are in love with fighting and quarrelling with everyone and everything, including animals and objects. You so much commit your life and time to fighting and quarrelling so that every day, by the time your husband returns from work, you have fought with everyone in the compound and neighborhood.
So, instead of your husband returning home into the warm arms of a peace loving wife, he would meet the chaos you have caused all over the place with people running Helter skelter. Your tired husband will be left with no option than going up and down the neighbourhood from house to house to beg and apologize to those you have wounded, bruised and battered with your sharp and poisonous tongue.
Because of your quarrelsome and violent way of life, your husband can hardly concentrate at the place of work. His heart would skip some beats whenever the time to go home draws near. He would become apprehensive that all might not be well when he gets home.
Madam, is that you? For how long are you going to continue to live this way? Repent and change this ugly way of life today. Delay will be dangerous.
Maybe, you are the type of a man that attacks and brutalizes your wife. Today, you give her a swollen eye, the next day it is a swollen lip, at other time a broken hand or skull. Your wife is like a punching bag to you.
A woman you should make your queen, and you the king and your children your princes and princesses. But no. You make her your slave instead; an object to exercise your power and instead of seeing yourself as a loving husband to her, you see yourself as a champion over her, your own wife. Shame!
Obviously, your children are ashamed of you. Are those children not angry with you because of how you embarrass and disgrace their mother in their presence every time? Your wicked treatment of their mother makes them ashamed, sad and angry.
You may not know this now partly because you think they are too young to know and partly because you don’t even care to know how they feel about your ugly behaviour. But, you just wait. It’s only a matter of time. They will grow up and their behaviour towards you then will show and confirm that they are disappointed with you.
Unknown to you, those children are sending prayer requests in the Sunday School and House Fellowship for their teachers and pastors to pray to God to deliver their mother from your brutality.
Even your neighbours gossip about concerning your shameful behaviour; you may not know or have noticed. They are even fed up with you.
Friend, is that you? You cause sorrow instead of happiness to your household. You create all sorts of problem for your wife and children. Whenever you return from work and notice that everyone is happy and there is peace within and around the house, you become sad. Instead of joining in the happy and peaceful atmosphere, you create confusion, disorganise everybody and cause pandemonium to erupt everywhere. You need to repent quickly.
Thank God you are still alive. I counsel you to make haste and repent. If you didn’t know, know it now that God is angry with you. But you can make Him happy today by going to Him quickly and crying for His forgiveness because you are in dire need of it.
Maybe, you are a man and your own case is that you smoke and God wants to bless you, but you are driving Him away with the smoke that oozes out of your nose and mouth every time. Jesus is at the door of your heart knocking to come in to save and bless you and your family, but the smoke if cigarette and Indian hemp oozing out of your mouth and nose plus the stench all around you are driving Him far away from you.
The Holy Spirit wants to help you, but you would not let Him because He cannot be talking to you and you will be pouring and blowing smoke all over His face.
Friend, is this your life’s picture? Though you desire the presence of God, your habit will not allow Him see or hear you. This habit from the pit of hell may eventually throw you into hell where you will spend eternity in the burning smoke of hell hell. You have the opportunity to drop that destructive habit of hell and seek God today. He will surely deliver you.
Maybe some of the properties you have in that house were stolen; perhaps from your place of work, e.g. plates, cutlery, clothes, shoes, food stuffs, stationery, electronics or machines, etc and you are using them, but unknown to you, it is these things that are keeping you in the position of poverty, sickness, failure and rejection. It could also be that you have ignorantly bought or acquired items that are demonic, polluted and or are dedicated to demons and idols.
You need to check even some of your wedding gifts and tokens. Don’t take anything for granted. God cannot enter a polluted place because He is a holy God and His pure eyes cannot behold abominable things.
For instance, what are you doing with carvings or paintings of vultures, toads, frogs, goats, alligators, crocodiles, snakes, dogs, lions, pigs, lizards and scorpions and things like that on your home?
Check your home. Check the type of decorations which might have their origins from questionable places. Get rid of such. Even your car. Some people put all sorts of strange things and images in their cars. Your vehicle is part of your properties and you spend time inside it most days. If what you put inside your vehicle are polluted, it will affect you and your relationship with God.
Maybe in your own case, it is all sorts of pornographic materials that you have displayed everywhere in your room(s) – naked women and men, offensive pictures in motion from the internet or CD, and you bury yourself in them every day.
If you are like this, how do you expect God; the holy God to come into your home? The dirty pictures and images you have displayed everywhere and those registered in your mind and thoughts will not all God to enter your home
Those pictures that and images that promote immorality, evil thoughts, fornication, uncleanness like masturbation and other acts and habits that God hates will only keep you far away from God and, real blessings will be hard to come your way. That is the blunt truth.
My friend, if this describes you, please make haste. You have a good opportunity to change today. God is interested in your life.
