The Negative Effects Of Smoking.

Smoking is a habit which is very easily addictive. Those who are unfortunate to have fallen into this habit have discovered to their own confusion that they cannot stop it again. Some of them prefer to die to leave the habit.

Not too long ago, I heard over the radio the voice of a woman who was being interviewed about the the dangers inherent in the habit of smoking which she and many others have cultivated. They put it to her that she was in effect endangering not only her health, but also her life.

They wanted to see how they could convince her to stop the deadly habit. Shockingly, she answered them and said angrily: “I cannot stop smoking! If it will kill me, I like it that way,” using her exact words.

In other words, this woman said that it was better for her to die of cancer of the lungs, heart, throat, lips, fingers, kidney failure or any other of the diseases associated with smoking, than to stop the habit.

The physical harm caused by smoking is factually documented by researches. According to reports, smoking related illnesses take four hundred thousand lives each year in the United States of America alone and millions more worldwide.

Many of these reported deaths were excruciatingly painful and slow. We must acknowledge the fact that the best cure for the grief caused by smoking is simply to call it quits with the habit.

It is however, disturbing to note that many are so addicted to the habit that they spurn this obvious solution. Many smokers choose to continue with the deadly habit and die prematurely of it, rather than drop it and live longer. Doesn’t it look demonic? Sad.

How can a smoker realise or achieve his or her divine destiny or God ordained purpose for his or her life while living dangerously as a smoker.

Even the manufacturers of the death inflicting product are sincere to label their products as deadly. They clearly warn the users of their products to be prepared to die in their prime or prematurely as a result of using their products.

In other words, the manufacturers of the various brands of the products have made it abundantly clear to their “victims” that they are manufacturing and churning out poisons as they obviously have been given the license to do so. Hence, their cigarettes are freely distributed and sold everywhere to everyone that has made covenant with the spirit of premature death.

A person whose mouth and nose ooze out thick smoke all the time like the exhaust pipe of a trailer, will find it difficult to have any meaningful relationship with his Creator, God Almighty.

It is true that God will like to hear us pray and speak to Him in prayers, but when one’s mouth and nose pour out smoke, with the concomitant stench that is common among smoker’s breaths, how will God listen? Everywhere in the Spiritual atmosphere is already polluted with smoke and sparks of fire from the stick of cigarette.

God will simply steer clear of such a person because of the pollution that surrounds the person.

Ordinarily, the atmosphere surrounding a typical smoker is always unconducive, even to us human beings, how much more, to a holy God?

If God would steer clear of you because of your smoking habit, then it simply means that He equally won’t be happy with you.

God loves everyone of us and would like for us to be in His holy presence at all times. If you now decide to alienate yourself from the presence of your Heavenly Father, what will your life on earth become without God?

You equally know that the habit that is keeping you away from God is also a deadly habit that is capable of destroying your life suddenly.

Smoking habit is a suicidal habit. Those who indulge in it know this fact very well. One thing I will remind everyone that smokes is that God brought everyone to this Earth to fulfil a specific purpose. If anyone, because of any deadly habit fails to fulfil that purpose, such a person already has a case to answer before God at the end of his days here on earth.

Any smoker should not imagine it that if he or she eventually dies as a result of addiction to smoking, he or she would be allowed to enter heaven, the abode of our holy God. The simple and obvious truth is that if that smoker, in spite of all warnings and counselling, continues in this suicidal habit and dies as a result of its aftermath or failed to quit the habit, that smoker will carry his smoky nose and lips into the eternal smokes and inferno of hell.

We must understand and acknowledge that there is nothing good about cigarette smoking. For example, does any cigarette have any nutritional value? Well, the straight answer is no.

Instead, cigarette smoking causes all sorts of health disorders and terminal diseases. Most smokers die before their God ordained times.

You see a typical smoker coughing all the time. They risk dying of lung cancer, heart cancer, throat cancer, and even mouth cancer. Why then will anyone get entangled in a habit that would eventually kill him in the prime of his life?

Even the packets of that poison has it clearly written on it “Smokers are liable to die young”. So, you know that what you are eating is a poison that will kill you, yet you go ahead to eat it anyway. It is suicidal. It is a deadly habit. I think there is more to smoking than meets the eye.

It is true that bad habits are hard to stop once formed, particularly, smoking. But you can be free if you want.

The money you spent on smoking alone can do something better for you, if put into a better use. Your household will be the better for it. But because Satan your archenemy does not want you to achieve anything good in life, or fulfil your divine destiny, he assigns that demon smoking habit to put you in that bondage.

The choice to be free from the bondage of this deadly habit is solely yours. Jesus the bondage breaker is near you there where you are and willing to deliver you and set you free from this habit of death and he’ll. Call upon Him now.
