Drunkenness versus Heaven and Hell:

The habit of drunkenness is condemned in various parts of the Bible, the word of God. Drunkenness is a habit that God frowns at seriously.

Like the habit of smoking, drunkenness is another habit that has dire consequences. For instance, alcohol intake can cause cirrhosis of the liver. This is a situation where the liver is unable to filter toxins from the body properly. Also, alcohol intake widens the blood vessels causing heat to escape from the body.

Furthermore, the use of alcohol an cause malnutrition, promote memory loss and depress antibody production in the body.

Alcohol intake can also upset the digestive system. It causes impotence on men and increases the problem of birth defect in pregnant women.

ALC intake dulls the sense, leading to loss of inhibition, slowness in reaction time and at times, gives aggressive tendencies.

A drunkard would likely falter in simple tasks such as crossing the road, going down the stairs, carrying hot water, etc. Many automobile accidents can be traced to the influence of alcohol intake.

Research has also shown that people who drink tend to have injuries more and die from these injuries more than those who do not drink at all.

An individual can become physically and emotionally dependent on alcohol. The use of alcohol can destroy friendships, severe family relationships and threaten job security.

Alcoholics always and easily lose control. They often undergo personality change, turn wicked and often physically and verbally abusive

Indiscriminate intake of alcohol can cause a lot of havoc to the life of the drinker.

Excess and uncontrolled consumption of alcohol can cause a series of health problems, particularly, it can cause kidney failure which had no cure, even transplant long term success cannot be guaranteed.

Alcoholic drinks include: those in green and brown bottles and cans, various spirits, and all those alcoholic bitters. There are those local ones made with toots and herbal leaves which people mix together and drink.

Many men spend a huge amount of their income on alcohol without minding the essential needs of their household: wife, children and the children’s educational needs.

Many men are only interested in satisfying the habitual craving for alcohol intake. Some men can drink a carton of beer and water it down with some shots of spirits. Some will drink so much that they would begin to vomit: throwing up all over the place.

There are some men that as early as seven o’clock in the morning, they are already drunk smelling like a brewery.

Alcohol intake is easily addictive as well as hard to break from. It is a very horrible and deadly habit. Very difficult to stop.

Many alcoholics look sickly and pale with personality change. Many are so addicted to it that they can buy the drink on credit to pay later, just to satisfy the uncontrollable urge for it.

Sometimes, there could be more to this addiction some people exhibit than meets the ordinary eye. Some could have some spiritual undertone.

There is every possibility that the vendors, those selling in bars, particularly some women could be applying some diabolical methods in their quest to make money out of their customers, thereby exploiting them. Some of these alcoholics could be under the influence of some charms.

If you find yourself wanting to stop this deadly habit, but find it difficult to quit, you may have been charmed with that habit.

But, whether you are charmed or not, you should know that you have no option than just to stop and call it quits.

Know that, just like smokers, drinkers are liable to die Young or before their God appointed time. Just take a look at all the diseases and negative effects alcoholic drinks can cause the drinker as listed above.

Above all, God is not pleased with a drunkard. In fact, the Bible says that drunkards will spend eternity in hell fire. Hear what the word of God says about those who will end up in hell fire:

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not received; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, no adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor DRUNKARDS, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom of God.” (1Corinthians 6:9-10).

Did you read that? Read it again. I deliberately wrote “drunkards” in capital letters for emphasis.

From the above above Bible passage, there is nothing else I need to add which could be more explicit than how it has been lifted from the holy Bible.

If you are reading this piece and you notice that you have put yourself in the danger of hell fire through this habit, well, thank God you are not yet inside hell; you are only standing at the mouth of the pit of hell. But you can come out of that danger zone right now and cry out to Jesus Christ now to help you.

A word is enough for the wise. Thank God you are not dead, so you have every opportunity to mend your way and change and become a new man or woman,. Jesus is waiting by your side right there. There is no time to waste. God bless you.
