Procrastination, an Offshoot of Laziness. Number one Killer of Destiny.

One of the greatest killers of destiny and progress in life is Procrastination. It is a habit that has cost many people great opportunities to get onto the ladder of success.

There are people who are habitual late comers. Lateness is the younger sister of Procrastination.

Some people are habitual late comers. No matter how important the appointment, they will be late in coming.

One of the consequences of leaving things till late or even too late is that this habit makes one look irresponsible. Sometimes, even some good reasons or excuses might not be taken as justifiable.

Procrastination makes one to make unpardonable losses. A habitual procrastinator loses out in the end. Opportunities are lost. Good things pass one by and go to another person assumed to be more serious than the procrastinator.

They have perfected the art of apologising to the guests at their events, how it was unfortunate that they woke up late and heavy traffic added to their being late.

There are some people who are late in virtually everything. They are late to school. They go late to employment interviews. They go late to the event that they are organising themselves. They go late to important events and engagements. Even on their wedding day, the marriage minister would be on the verge of calling off the wedding when they eventually casually rush in to the dismay of everybody present.

A habitual late comer and procrastinator can never be taken seriously. A habitual late comer and procrastinator can never be reckoned with. A habitual late comer and procrastinator can never be trusted with important responsibilities that require time consciousness, meeting deadlines and schedules.

Another off shoot of Procrastination is laziness. A procrastinator or late comer can be likened to the five foolish virgins who were busy looking for oil to buy and fill their lanterns in the middle of the night, while the five wise ones were already inside the marriage banquet hall with the Bridegroom and the door of entry shut.

There are many people who have been hearing the word of God and the warning that sinners will have no place in heaven, the Kingdom of God.

The condition to enter heaven which every sinner must fulfil is that they should repent from their sinful habits and make their ways right before God and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ the Saviour. But, shockingly these people still continue with their sins, though they actually want to change.

They are busy with some other things they consider more important to them than the salvation of their soul.

You can be sure that such procrastinators will still leave it till too late or never. Then they will begin to weep and cry when they hear the Lord tell them: “Too late! Depart from me, you that work iniquity…”

We of the present dispensation are lucky. I say this because God has been bringing some of the situations in heaven as well as those in hell to us through some people to warn sinners on the one hand and to encourage the saints on the other hand.

One striking similarity in these reports delivered by those who had been privileged to visit those two places and returned to earth is the fact that HELL FIRE is real and those who found themselves there are full of regrets.

All of them are crying their eyes out, begging Jesus to give them a second chance to return to earth to repent. But to their chagrin, the response from the Lord has been “Too late”.

They had the opportunity to repent while on earth, but wasted it on Procrastination. They postponed the date of their redemption to the future believing that they still had much of it. But alas! Procrastination turned out their undoing.

It is clear that there are many people in hell now who never ever thought they would be there. Though they wanted to repent, they left it to be done on some later dates which unfortunately never came.

They continued to procrastinate, playing with sin and hoping to turn to Christ at their own time. But death surprised them and it became too late. And when they landed in hell eventually they began to lament and regret calling and praying (in hell) for Jesus to consider their case.

The condition is “Once in hell is forever in hell. Once in heaven is forever in heaven”. And the choice of where to spend eternity is made here on earth while we are still alive. Once dead, repentance becomes practically impossible.

Take a wise decision today and repent. Give your life to Jesus Christ today before it is too late. Time is running out.

Now, do you know that there are some people who have this habit of leaving it too late programmed into their lives demonically by their enemy?

This type of people will never do anything late or attend to issues late until an opportunity that would usher them into great breakthroughs come up. It is at that time that they will become careless and end up being late and therefore missing that great opportunity.

When that opportunity passes them by, another person will take it and they will return to square one to start the cycle again. This is attack on such a person’s destiny whether he knows it or not.

A person like this needs serious prayer and deliverance. Unfortunately, some people in this situation hardly will believe or see it as spiritual. They will never pray nor seek help from God.

The reason for this attitude is not farfetched; they don’t know and don’t want to have anything to do with God.

Some of them, if you tell them the likely cause of their problem and then suggest the solution to them, they will begin to avoid you just because you want to bring God into it.

They leave it too late. They prefer to pray in hell fire instead of settling it here on earth while still alive. They forget that the earth is the only place where sin can be confessed, and forgiveness and salvation received. But some want to try their luck in hell.

Well, there is no luck in hell. The only thing there are misfortunes, sorrows, torments, and tortures.

I hope no one would want to be like the people described above.

Don’t wait till tomorrow; it may turn out too late. Jesus is standing right there before you. Settle your case with Him now. God bless you.

Thank you for staying till the end. Please like, share and subscribe. See you again soon.
